Thank you God,
“I love the mystery of the universe. I love all the questions that have come to us over thousands of years of exploration and hypotheses … but when I looked in the opposite direction, into space, there was no mystery, no majestic awe to behold … all I saw was death. I saw a cold, dark, black emptiness. I turned back toward the light of home. I could see the curvature of Earth, the beige of the desert, the white of the clouds and the blue of the sky. It was life. Nurturing, sustaining, life. Mother Earth. Gaia. And I was leaving her.” William Shatner from his upcoming autobiography ‘Boldly Go: Reflections on a Life of Awe and Wonder.’
This is a great quote. Most of us will never get the opportunity to go to space and look down on earth. To understand what it feels like to see earth from a pressurized container.
When we read the creation story, we marvel at God’s creation, humanity. It is amazing how the human body works.
What about earth? Our home that God created for us? Isn’t it amazing? Flowers and trees. Rivers and streams. Birds and animals. Earth is amazing. And he created an amazing home for you and me. Thank you God for this home. Air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat. A delight for all the senses. Yeah, there are snakes, skunks and the like. They have a purpose in Gods world too.
