Savage flu shot

When you are the passenger in the back seat, it’s so hard to hear. Add hearing loss into the mix; the words just – find lives of their own. This happens to me more often than not.

Topic of conversation? Can’t remember. Resulting remarks. Oh I remember. Savage flu shot.

The laughter that ensued was confusing. The words I heard were no where near the conversation at hand. Used cars or something.

Every year, I get a flu shot. A savage syringe chasing me around the drug store crept into my head. Eyes bulging, maniacal grin, laughter that would scare any adult. Screaming, “SHOT! SHOT! MUST GIVE SHOT!”

My first reaction, RUN!

That 1940’s black and white scene of me being chased around a waiting room full of chairs, cattle stalls, and the random pack of adult diapers; comes to mind. Fast paced piano music included.

With outstretched arms, it continues the chase. “Come here little girl. MUST PROTECT!” Laughing it’s cross between a witch and a demonic ghost. “PROTECT YOU!”

“If this is protection, what’s harm?” No one wants a needle driven in one side of their arm and out the other. Do they?

“Little girl,” deep breaths escape the syringe as it looks desperately for my left shoulder. It doesn’t care, right shoulder. Any shoulder. “Come get your flu shot.”

Terror builds in me at the thought this savage might want my BUTT CHEEKS! NOOOOO! I screamed that in my head. Did it hear me? Can it hear my thoughts?

“Hip, hip, hip. Gonna give a shot.”

This is one exam I didn’t ask for.

“Hips, shoulders, it doesn’t matter little girl.” Cackle, “must protect. Go this way or that, I’ll get you little girl.”

Laughter of a thousand crows fills my head as the savage flu shot searches for me.

It sings a frightening song, “shoulders, hips.

Shoulders, hips.

Shoulders, hips.

Come here little girl.”

    1. I have heard other people talk about that. My grandma swore against them. In my reading, mostly from the CDC and an ARNP friend, that there are 5 strands of the flu. Each year, the flu shot is different based on medical guess work about which strand will be most prevalent. Please feel free to fact check that. I just know, they help me. Before I started getting the shots, the flu hit me hard. And so far (knock on wood), getting one hasn’t made me sick.

      1. Good for you

I use natural medicine and have not been sick for over forty years

Since getting mom to use natural medicine she has not gotten the flu, has her high blood pressure under control, does not have severe arthritis flare ups anymore and has her diabetes under control. She does not use medicine for her heart anymore either.

      2. I’m learning more and more about the things in nature that are here for us to us created by God. Recently on a trip to Wal-Mart, I found a herbal throat tamer tea. My allergies have given me a wicked sore throat. This tea didn’t magically make my sore throat go away but it did help.

      3. Why not see what herbal remedies there are for your allergies and grow you own herbal medicine. It is easy.

Our back yard is an herbal pharmacy. 🤣

Many times friends come to me to ask for help and share the herbs with them

As well, it has helped our epileptic cat a lot

      4. May I suggest you look up a natural pathic doctor in your area.

If you need help just contact me.

Although I am not a doctor I have plenty of experience.

      1. So it seems. Each person is different chemically even if very similar. In any event who knows what is in each vial. Depending on what other drugs and chemicals in the body, it is possible I suppose that the vaccines ingredients might be neutralised them.

You don’t discuss Covid in your post but in 2020 they rebranded the ‘flu. This gave big pharma the chance to sell more poisons. It was a very clever marketing trick of theirs, their best yet.

      2. Thank you. Yes, I was just taking the opportunity to mention it that’s all. I am half deaf myself related to my facial palsy caused by neurotoxicity from sodium nitrite (E250) in bacon I ate which I write about.

It can make one hear things incorrectly more than usual, although I like to play with words anyway. My wife copes!

      3. I am sorry to hear that, I have some tinnitus too. It is not unbearable but more noticable when one is quiet or lying down. I imagine like sound waves can be flattened or enlarged, it might be reduced or accentuated by other sound waves.

I describe my issues with my left ear as like having a very heavy cold. There is a certain amount of pressure but it is not painful.
