Do you wear a mask?

Is it a heavy task?

Do you wear a mask of silence?

Because it keeps you compliant.

~

Do you wear a mask of anger?

All the emotions build inside you creating that clangor.

~

Do you wear a mask of work?

Buried deep in the muck.

~

Do you wear a mask of charity?

Honestly, does it bring you clarity?

~

Do you wear a mask of hope?

Whatever you need to do to cope?

~

Do you wear a mask of sadness?

No one cares, forget that madness.

~

Do you wear a mask of joy?

I bet that’s a heavy ploy.

~

Do you wear a mask of beauty?

How’s that working out for you, truly?

~

Do you wear a mask of empathy?

Can you really show sympathy?

~

Do you wear a mask of piety?

Does God really live in you or do you wear it for the notoriety?

~

Is your mask made of clay?

Is your mask made of hay?

~

Is your mask made of glass?

Is it suited for the task?

~

Does it really protect your heart?

Is it time to depart?

~

We all wear a mask.

Life is one big masque.

~

Being who you think you are is unacceptable.

Keep those masks handy. They are interchangeable and collectible.

  1. Well written and most relevant for the time and season. We are people of well weaved and sewed masks.I was this conversation with a colleague of mine yesterday. Thanks for sharing you have mentioned some points that was discussed.
    The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 13:1″ By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established ” A great read.
