Hold me tight

just for tonight

don’t let in the light

~

Speak soft words

that only time has heard

we will meet the night on its terms

~

Encourage time to stand still

not all of life needs to be a thrill

throw all the clocks over the sill

~

Seep into my dreams

holding back the screams

life doesn’t have to be as it seems

~

I will hold you tight

just for tonight

folding back the light
