Blood on the page
At this stage
~
Seeping from a wound never healed
Rivers flowing from a bandaged peeled
~
Drops trail behind me like bread crumbs
Leaving limbs numb
~
Can’t you see this
How can you miss
~
This can’t be visible only to me
From sea to shining see
~
A panicked heart pounding in my ears
Like a distant base drum running from fears
~
Bloodless veins begging for life
Drying, withering from the strife
~
Brain foggy, full of nothing
Dense clouds before my eyes, seeking
~
Blood on the page
Seeping from scabs never healed –
too late at any age

Poem inspired by the following post:
dry skin
red rash
blood on pillow
sham
rides
up
pull back
day in day out

I can feel the pain in your words, and I know how heavy it all feels. But even in the darkest moments, God is with you. His healing is still possible, no matter how deep the hurt. You’re never alone in this, He’s always there, offering hope and strength.
