I have posted a few segments on my self-publishing journey. It’s not super easy to start with. But it seems to be my nature to always take the hard road.
There are some really great pieces of information out there. And of course, some not so great.
Two of my works, wasn’t showing up in my feed when I searched for myself, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why. So, I think I figured it out. I listed both of them as adult. There really wasn’t anything in them too graphic. It was more of ‘erroring on the side of caution’. I don’t have children. And in no way wish to tell anyone how to raise theirs. One of my co-workers read Once there was darkness. She is a parent with a teenage daughter. So I asked her what she thought. It was her opinion that 16 and up was a good range. So I chose 17 and up. Just cause, well, I’m me. What do you know, I did an independent search for the books on my work computer. Not logged into Amazon and there they were. So the age range you give your work depends on if it shows up or not in a general search.
This has been quite the learning process.
I’d got some learning I need to do in Jetpack/Wordpress.
The 2 books in question:
Once there was darkness

I agree Jolene that there are a lot of stumbling blocks on the self publishing journey. You are far ahead of me in this and I applaud you for your hard work. I’m still lost in this whole author’s page and setting it up. I hope to see complete success for you in the near future.

Thank you 💕 I’ve looked at the author’s page but didn’t do anything with it. The need to go back and look at it again. Truly the wording intimates me. It’s got more legal jargon than I’m comfortable with. To me, it seems more like a promoting platform. Important piece of the puzzle, I know. Thank you for your post about it. I was unaware of it. If I learn things, I’ll share.
Keep up the good work. 💪🏻You got this.
