I am putting a warning with this story; adult content, language, drugs, abuse (multiple forms), please read with discretion. May be a trigger for some readers. Reader discretion advised. Not every scene will have this content but I want to error on the side of caution.
This story has massive amounts of adult content. So much out of my wheel house, here’s to something different. It is my intent not to go into full on details but to add just enough material.
As the story unfolds, let me know what you think.
Are there age restrictions on here somewhere for content?
There are likely plugins for age-gating content if you are hosted by someone other than WordPress. Plugins are allowed on WP-hosted sites if you are paying for a site at the higher tiers, but most people aren’t paying those fees.
I am not aware of anything along those lines otherwise.
A workaround might be a warning, followed by a tag. It’s on-your-honor, but age gates typically are anyway.
Additionally, you could make it a password-protected post and give the password out in a subsequent post. Kind of a public/private post. That way, they can’t stumble upon the content, but regular subscribers will see the password and can use it, but only if they wish to see the content.
That’s two solutions off the top of my head.
Good luck!

Thanks. These things are good to know. I might be making a mountain out of a mole hill. Just trying to error on the side of caution.

I think warnings in the first paragraph and tags tend to be the easiest and most simple to employ. If a reader keeps going on with the post after that, then it is really on them.

I did that with Winter Season where I used adult language, used a warning. Thought it might be necessary where my readers were not used to me using it with my characters.
