Lost Past; A Star Trek Story

Paramount Global owns the Star Trek franchise. This is a piece of fan fiction based on Star Trek the Next Generation

Door number 1

Data and Geordi started at the tail of the ship. In what seemed a launch bay. Data used his tricorder to record a map of the ship. Geordi was looking for anything unusual. They would know for sure that each room had been searched.

“There should be a shuttle craft in here shouldn’t there?” Geordi asked.

“That is what it looks like.” This room had 3 doors, one very large door directly behind them. They assumed was the launch door. One door on the wall in front of them and one off to the left of where they stood. By the left door was a podium structure. Data walked over to it. “This is a launch bay.” He made the launch door that was now infront of them open.

    “Where is the shuttle craft?”

“We may never know.” Data closed the launch window and accidentally opened a hidden door in the far wall. A shuttlecraft slid into flight position in front of them. “That answers the question about the shuttlecraft.”

“It hid itself.” Geordi seemed amazed.

“The thieves could not escape when the atmosphere changed.”

    “Good point.”

    “Pick a door.” Data suggested.

“Let’s see what is behind Door Number 1,” Geordi teased. He walked to the door behind the podium. It was a turbo lift.

Data walked over to the other door, “turbo lift.” He reported.

    “Which one?”

“We will stay with Door Number 1.”

The turbo lift, with its strapping male voice said, “going down.”

“What happened to the female voice?” Data asked.

Geordi gave him a confused look.

“My voice never changes.” Came a reply. The turbo lift emptied them into a very classy conference room.

“This conference room puts the one on the Enterprise to shame.” Geordi marveled.

“Let us go back up to the other turbo lift door.” Data suggested.

With the same strapping male voice it said, “going up.” Geordi and Data just looked at each other.
