      1. My made up my recipe and it tasted like black beans. Which, I understand. Disappointing but understand. Ingredients are so expensive, I couldn’t this them away. Cut, wrapped and froze them. Now the black beans aren’t so overpowering.

      1. Have you tried parm chips? That lady that I watch all the time Autumn Bates, eats them sometimes. I’ve purchased a tortilla press and bought some masa. She uses masaharina to make her shells. You can buy that in my town. Yes, I can order it.

        1. Pour masaharina into a bowl
        2. Add warm water and mix until a dough forms
        3. Roll the dough into small balls
        4. Press the dough down with a tortilla press on a hot griddle
        5. Cook for 20 seconds, then flip and cook for another 20 seconds
        6. Flip one more time and cook until the tortillas puff up

I’m not my own tortilla chips. Hopefully. Still a snack. But if I have to make them every time I eat them, I might eat less?

  1. Even at the big box stores, those are expensive, although I’ve been tempted to try them. But I can be a cheap b*stard at times, so it’s probably better if I don’t in order to avoid the angst that will come if I decide I like them. Cheese is usually my go-to. I could probably use the mini waffle iron to concoct something crunchy with cheese. 🤔 A little almond flour, asiago, dash of salt…. Maybe an egg for binding…

    🙂
