Coreopsis

I completely wrote this story when I was in high school. As an adult, I typed it up and changed almost every thing about this story except the characters names and personalities. However, I did change the Queen’s name from the original story.

Coreopsis:

Coreopsis also known as a tickweed, is used in gardening for its long-lasting, sunny, daisy-like blooms, making it ideal for borders, mass plantings, containers, and cottage gardens. Its key uses include attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies, providing a low-maintenance, drought-tolerant ground cover, and as cut flowers for arrangements.

Coreopsis generally means “always cheerful,” it can specifically symbolize “love at first sight,” especially with certain species like Coreopsis arkansa. This symbolism is rooted in the language of flowers, known as floriography. The flower’s bright, sunny appearance reinforces meanings of joy, optimism, and happiness.
