Pour art 1

As I was scrolling through YouTube, I came across a video of someone doing a pour painting. As I watched; the thought filled my head, “I can do that.”

I gathered my supplies. All things I had at the house. Now you might be thinking, why is frugal lady using puppy pads? Once the paint drys, Cheekie doesn’t care. 😉 The ones that got really soaked, I threw away. Warning, this is messy. Gloves are not a bad idea. And yes, that is a colander. Bigger holes might have made this faster.
Didn’t buy any new paint. These are all leftovers from other projects.
Just pour all your paint colors in a cup. One color on top of another. In all honesty, I needed more paint. Should have filled the cup over half full. The bigger the canvas, the more paint you will need.
Fast as you can, turn the colander over with the cup full so that the paint will go through the holes.
Move the paint around the canvas. This is where things get messy.
It took about a week for it to dry to the touch. However, I read it can take up to 3 weeks for them to cure. Happy pouring.
