      1. We’ve had them intermittently since Memorial Day. It’s ramping up in frequency, but slower than in years past. There was one year where it was nearly constant from Memorial Day until Labor Day. And those idiots kept lighting M-80s or, as I like to call them, mini-dynamite sticks.

Talk about shell-shocked most of the summer.

      2. Amen. That does not sound like fun.

There is a firework hut not half a mile (as the crow flies) from my house. They are constantly testing the merchandise. 🤦‍♀️

  1. Have you heard this?

Running a dryer with tennis balls, an old shoe, or knotted towels (with the heat turned off) is a popular household trick used to soothe dogs afraid of thunderstorms or fireworks. The steady, rhythmic thumping noise helps mask the unpredictable booms of thunder, which can reduce your pet’s anxiety. Worth a try, eh? Good luck!
