Coreopsis 27 a

Sarah woke in a strange bed. She stumbled from the room, opening the door to find Carter asleep in a chair. She shook him away.

“Sarah,” he jumped to his feet hugging her.

“Happy to see me.” She half yawned, half laughed.

Jack smiled. “You have no idea. How do you feel?”

   “Drugged.”

“I haven’t gotten the results back from your blood work yet.”

“How long have I been out?”

“Four days. Since you’re awake, I’m going to go back to the palace. You’re safe here.”

   “Where is here?”

David entered the room with a tray. “My house.”

   “Thank you.” Sarah smiled.

“Anything.” He bowed. “I’ll come back to check on you.”

“Don’t forget to find out what Michael wants to do.”

   “I won’t.” Jack left.

_Good things are allowed to happen to you. Some people won’t be happy for your wins. Don’t let that stop you from celebrating yourself. You’re meant to make the best of your life. You’re meant to follow your own path. You’re meant to live your purpose._

_Small steps in the right direction are still steps. Be happy and proud of yourself. You’re doing great, keep going! Focus on that, instead of people who try to rub off their insecurity on you._
