Metamorphoses

Perhaps the moon will step gently from the sky.

Her foot trailing star dust as she glides by.

~

A body aglow in pale light.

Lifting a spirit bright.

~

Willingly leaving her home in the sky.

Living among mortals, nigh.

~

A prayer. A wish. The longing of a lovers kiss.

The flicker of a wish.

~

A fear.

Hesitation near.

~

The moon in her earthly form,

here among the shells to roam.

~

Here to fill a lovers heart.

Mighty at her art.
