Ache

Honestly, I’m not THAT old.

My neck is stiff. 

My back groans. 

My legs are tired. 

Skinned dried out from winter blues. 

My eye lids are heavy. Work coffee! Work!

That’s not a hot air balloon. It’s just my head.

My sinuses bleed. 

My eyes are watering. 

Can’t kill the ringing in my ear!

Moan!

Groan!

Yet, I carry on. 

The only things that don’t ache are my finger tips. 

I think the bears got it right.

    Makes you wonder if they put something in those Twinkies/Zingers we ate growing up, doesn’t it? It was… The creme filling! Betcha. 😆

    1. I’ll take all the help I can get.

      Sure of it. Who’s knows the truth about what’s in our food. But still love a Twinkie. Was very sad when they got taken off the market there for a while. And I get slightly bent out of shape when they come out with new flavors. I’m like leave the original alone. It’s perfect.

      1. They did go off sale for a few years until another food company purchased that line of deserts. Of course, the investors demand better sales, so we have to do smaller and weirder to increase the profit margins. I believe Hostess was originally a Minnesota company (there used to be a Hostess bakery outlet down the road from my grandparent’s house growing up where you could pick up Wonder Bread and their signature desserts up on the cheap; alas, it is gone now).

      2. The last Twinkie I ate was oily. Didn’t appreciate that.

        Sadly it’s all about the bottom line. And I understand that people want to make a profit. This explosion with Campbell’s soup should reinforce to us that someone people won’t stop.
